Melizzle's Vegas Bachelorette

WARNING:  Cartoon penises below!!!!

I knew you would keep reading.  Sickos.

After two long years away from my first love, I returned to Vegas in September for Melissa's bachelorette party.  We got a two-bedroom suite at Elara: Hilton Grand Vacation Resort behind Planet Hollywood.  Maybe it's the fact that I am getting older, but I really appreciated this hotel in comparison to the many others I have stayed at.  There is no casino in the hotel, but it's attached to the miracle mile shops of Planet Hollywood and that place has a casino and enough restaurants and shops on its own.  The pool was also not your standard Vegas pool, which was nice because it meant we could just throw on our suits, cover ups and flops and didn't have to wear our stilettos and club hair/make up to go lay out.

As a last minute decision we had shirts made for our travel/shopping day

Bride and Bride's Entourage
When we arrived in Vegas we checked our stuff into our hotel and set out on a lunch/shopping excursion while we waited for our room to be ready.  We walked over to Ceasar's Palace to visit the giant Express store and had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory next door.  Some gentlemen at the bar thought they were disturbing our lunch outing and decided to buy our table a bottle of champagne.

Cheers!
After lunch we headed back to the hotel to check out our suite.  It was pretty sweet!

We hung out for a while in our stuite and then decided we'd better start getting ready for our big night out.  One of the girls knows some promoters in Vegas and got us on a list at Cosmo.  The club has a few different levels and rooms, but we hung out outside by the pool for most of the night.  Dancing on an actual dance floor in Vegas has become next to impossible, so since we got there pretty early, we decided to find a spot we could sit/stand in comfortably while enjoying our overpriced drinks.

Since we didn't get to dance much, we headed back to the hotel around 1am, ate, made another drink, put on our flip flops, and headed down to the bar/club that was right inside the miracle mile.  We danced for about 45 minutes then headed to bed.

The next day we got up, got some starbucks and sandwiches and headed to the pool.

It was hot, but not as hot as I know Vegas can be.  We got some sun, had a couple of drinks, and recouperated from the night before.  We headed back to the suite and got ready for dinner.  While we were enjoying our adult beverages, we decided to play a couple of adult games...like pin the macho on the man.

The bride's placement.  Not bad at all.

Too much fun!
We walked to Paris and had dinner at their burger place, which wasn't all that amazing, but it got some food in us and that was the point.

After dinner a couple of the girls went back to the hotel and the rest of us went to XS at Encore.  Apparently it's a pool club so people there are dressed in everything from bathing suits to Versace suits.  It's pretty entertaining to people watch in places like that.

We heard that Little Jon was going to be there, but after a couple of hours we got tired of waiting for him and started to leave the club.  Right as we passed by the DJ booth, he started his set.

We stood and watched his set for about 20 minutes, but it was annoying not being able to dance and we were right in the main flow of traffic, so we peaced outta there.  I took a few videos on my phone, but they are rather shakey and there may or may not be some cussing in their by him AND yours truly.  He brings out the gangsta in me.

Wow.

After we left the club we walked around XS, got some soda water and limes for our flask contents, then headed over to check out the Wynn.  They have beautiful flower garden walkway.

From there we called it a night.  The next morning we got up, packed our stuff, and had lunch before we headed home.  It was the perfect amount of Vegas for me.  I didn't feel like death and we had a great time!  I think it was also the least expensive Vegas trip I have ever taken, and probably due to the fact that I wasn't buying drinks all day, every day.

Did I mention the wedding is less than a month away?  Can't wait!!!!

Wow! Sounds like a great time. I've only been to Vegas once, and it wasn't all that much fun - I just was there for one night and was so tired from road tripping cross country that I ended up crashing really early.
