3 Year Housiversary

Today marks the 3-year anniversary of moving into our new home. We spent 5 months visiting week by week to see the progress on our home. Hours analyzing and deciding on our options/upgrades. Countless emails back and forth with our lender trying to figure out financing and dealing with a discovery one week before we signed that almost cost us our house.

We still have done absolutely nothing to our backyard, and the only things we have done indoors is hang a mirror and a picture and get a little bar. Priorities people.

The pictures below can also be found on "Our Flowerbed", but it's so funny how not much has changed with our house in three.whole.years.

This last picture of the dining room is the thing that has changed the most.  There is a photo now hanging over the candelabra on the mantle and on the left wall is where the bar and the mirror are now.  We also have an area rug under the dining set.  Basically I am too lazy to take new picture and upload/post them.  You love me.

I honestly cannot believe three years have passed.  It looks feels like we just moved in.  I am hoping it will look much different over the next three years.  I have plans to paint an accent wall where the TV is and put a gallery wall up behind the couch, but since all of our money goes to pay our mortgage...well...

Here's to the next 27 years!!

Happy Endings & A Merry Bremas

If you've been around for at least a year, you might be familiar with the fact that I am a Christmas baby.  All my life I have been unhappy with this.  Winter birthday parties are boring and lame.  My brother is 2 1/2 years older than me, almost to the day, so he always got the cool June birthday parties around a pool or slip n slide or water park, etc.  Not to mention so many people are obsessed with this Jesus guy and apparently we have the same birthday, so he is constantly stealing my thunder.

Anywho...

I have mentioned before on Twitter that I am so in love with the show Happy Endings.  I honestly laugh so hard during episodes of this show that I don't recognize the sound that comes out of me because it's no laugh I've laughed before.  This week's episode was nothing short of amazing and I have provided some clips below to illustrate why.  They are all short, watch them in the order posted :)

In the words of Penny, this episode was A-MAH-ZING!!!  Captures the story of my life pretty well.  Seriously you guys, this show + New Girl has made Tuesday my new favorite night of the week.  LOVE!

Do you/have you watched?  What do you think?

Fitness Friday: Pinspiration

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

It's been a while since I've done a Fitness Friday post, so I thought I would update you on what I have taken to doing in the gym lately.  I follow a lot of blogs and people on pinterest that have a fitness and clean-eating focus, so I have started getting some great workouts from Pinterest.

For this last one, I got the inspiration from My Mission Impossible, but turned it into my own little circuit.  I did a dynamic warmup for a few minutes to get everything moving and then did the 10 burpees in the beginning to get my heart rate up so I could burn at a higher rate throughout the workout.  I ended up doing a few more reps on some exercises, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.  I had planned to time myself so I could have a benchmark to test improvement with, but I totally forgot.  I know it was less than 30 minutes though.

For me the key is productivity and efficiency.  Unless I am doing a class at the gym, I don't like to spend more than 30 minutes on my workouts, so I try to maximize that 30 minutes as much as possible.  My friend and I have been meeting at the gym for classes like Zumba and yoga a couple of times a week and then I will use the gym downstairs at work.

It's not much, but it's a great place to avoid my phobia of people judging me and my workouts at the gym.  LOL!  It has a couple of treadmills, a bike, a stair stepper, two ellipticals, some hand weights, and that big circuit machine that you see here which I never use.  Comes in handy because I can work out before I even leave the building so I have a lesser chance of losing my motivation.

What are your fitness tips and tricks?  Do you have a fitness board on Pinterest?  Link it in the comments so I can follow!

Honilla Wedding Recap

I have kept you all waiting long enough, it's time for the Honilla wedding recap!  The professional pics have not yet surfaced, so for now you will have to settle for a compilation of iPhone pics and point & shoot pics that I have gathered from folks who attended.

We had to be ready for pics by 11:30am, so an early start was required.  My MOH and BFF arrived at 8am to get started on hair for me and two other girls, and make up for me.  I had started to come down with a cold the day before and between sneezing and coughing, my eyes were watering like crazy, which was quite annoying when it came to my eye makeup.

After a few hours of primping, it was time to head downstairs and take some bridal party pictures.  The weather was so nasty, windy and rainy, so we decided to take most of the pics indoors.  Luckily the hotel we were at had some gorgeous places to do so.

The groom is the co-owner and COO for Mejor Modern Luxury Tequila, so we took a bottle with us into the hotel bar/restaurant and took some pictures of the girls taking shots at the bar. I can't wait to see how those turned out! After we were done with the bridal party pics, we headed out to get in the limo to go to the church. Just as we were heading outside, it stopped raining!! Talk about luck!

Everything that day was running right on schedule. We got to the church with just enough time to get our stuff stashed downstairs, touch up our make up and get lined up for the ceremony.

It was a full catholic mass,so there was a lot of standing, sitting, walking, and kneeling during the hour-long ceremony.

There was a point in the middle of the ceremony when the priest was praying for the couple and their marriage when the sun came out and lit up the entire church through the stained glass windows. It was as if God was shining down his blessing on them. So awesome.

After the ceremony, we took some pictures of the entire bridal party in the church and outside of the cathedral before hopping on the party bus to head to the reception.

The party bus was nothing short of awesome. Lots of my favorite people, celebrating awesomeness with lots of tequila.

We were kept hidden in the lounge while we waited to be announced into the reception. There was a bar and a pool table so we got some drinks and took the opportunity to get some pics with each other.

The reception was nothing short of awesome with delicious food, an amazing DJ, and an open bar stocked to the brim with Mejor among others.

After the reception we jumped back on the party bus, which was nothing short of a shit show. As if we weren't trashed enough, there were more bottles of Mejor floating around. The bus driver got lost and what should have been a 30 minute ride, turned into a 2 hour ride back to our hotel.

We were supposed to all go out afterward, but the bus ride back was a major buzz kill, so we went back to our room, ordered a pizza and passed out. It was definitely one of the top 5 weddings I have been blessed to attend, and to be a part of it was even more special.

Congratulations Angel and Melissa!!!
